FoundationMatch

Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers

FoundationMatch (foundationmatchusa.com) is a referral service. You tell us what you are seeing at your house and your ZIP code, and we send the request to one independent foundation, waterproofing or crawl space company that serves your area. This policy covers this website, its forms and the phone number it shows. It does not cover the companies we send requests to, which have their own policies. In this policy, "we" means FoundationMatch.

What we collect

When you send a request we collect the job you picked, your ZIP code, your name, your phone number and your email address. If you answer a question about your house, we keep the answer with the request. We also keep a record of the consent you gave: the wording shown, the version, the time and the page you were on.

We collect technical data automatically: your IP address and the rough location it implies, your browser and device type, the pages you open and the page that sent you here. If you call the number on the site, our call tracking service records the number you called from, the time and the length of the call, and whether the call connected to a company.

We do not collect payment details, because you do not pay us. Please do not send photographs, plans or a copy of an engineer's report through the contact form; they are not needed to match you, and the company that calls you can ask for them directly.

Why we use it

We use what you send to find a company that serves your ZIP code, to pass it your request, to keep a record that you agreed to be contacted, to answer your questions and to detect abuse and duplicate requests. We use technical data to keep the site working and to understand which pages help. We do not use your request to build a profile for advertising.

Cookies and similar technology

The site sets the cookies and storage it needs to keep a form in progress and to remember a choice you made, such as a dismissed notice. We do not set advertising cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. If we add an analytics tool, we will name it here before it runs.

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. If you send a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for the sharing described below.

Who receives your information

The company we match you with receives your request, and so does a referral partner acting for that company if there is one. The consent line on the form names FoundationMatch and one company; it says so before you send anything.

We also use vendors that run the site for us: web hosting, form and lead-routing software, email delivery and call tracking. They may use your information only to provide those services to us. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people or property, or if the business is sold, in which case this policy continues to apply to what we hold.

Sale and sharing

Sending your request to a company that pays us for it may count as a sale or sharing of personal information under some privacy laws. We say so plainly, and the do not sell page lets you opt out. Opting out stops us from sending your details to a company in future; it cannot recall a request already sent.

Calls and texts

If you tick the consent box, the company that receives your request, or a referral partner acting for it, may call and text you about that request, including with an autodialer or a prerecorded voice. You do not have to agree in order to buy anything. Tell the company to stop, or reply STOP to a text, and it must stop; tell us too, so we can pass it on.

How long we keep it

We keep a request and its consent record for as long as we need them to show that you agreed and to answer a dispute. We have not fixed a single retention period yet, and when we do we will state it here. We delete or anonymize data we no longer need, and we delete a request when you ask and no law requires us to keep it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may let you ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, correct it, delete it, opt out of sharing or sale, and appeal a refusal. We offer these choices to everyone who writes to us, even where no law requires it. Write to support@foundationmatchusa.com from the email address you used on the form, say what you want, and we will reply. An authorized agent may write on your behalf with your written permission. We will not treat you worse for asking.

Security

Pages and forms are served over an encrypted connection, and access to the request data is limited to the people and vendors that need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that yours will never be exposed. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

The site is for adults who own or manage a home. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us a request, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

When we change this policy we change the effective date at the top. Questions go to support@foundationmatchusa.com. Mailing address (privacy service): 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958.
